After a very long day in Bucharest, we just wanted to grad a nice dinner and head to bed. We didn't have wifi so couldn't check online for reviews, but had seen a nice French bistro during to day. Well by night, it was very loud and hopping neighborhood (think Latin Quarer in Paris) and couldn't seem to find the restaurant, so we decided to enter a "typically" Romanian restaurant. There were no tables available outside (so they claimed),so we got stuck in the corner, which really pissed off Beth. Then when they didn't have her gratefruit juice, she was doubly annoyed, and last... Then this very large Romanian singer starts belting with a microphone the worst Romanian rendition of a song we have ever heard! She actually comes over to our table and begins singing directly to Beth!! . That is when Beth put her ear plugs in (see below) and I just started laughing.. And if the eve could get any worse...the table just 3" away from up starts to light up cigarettes and blow the smoke in our direction (because why should smokers containmate their own tables and seating with smoke when they can just blow it to their neighbors table and ruin someone else's meal instead?)
That was the first time in years, that I got up and told the waiter we had to leave because I was allergic to smoke.
He then willingly let us sit outside and we struggled through the evening. Not one of our highlight meals but we had a big laugh about the Fat Romanian terrible singer and out night was definitely over when she sang!!!
Sadly you can't see how fat she is, or how badly she sings!!
But you can clearly see how annoyed Beth is!!
We were so happy to get back to our hotel- Hotel Rembrandt!
