Welcome to the Wacky Wendel Travel Blog, guaranteed to entertain you! In my traditional planning style, I have invested over 7 months in creating, planning, negotiating (rather abusing Bulgarian taxi drivers into giving me their lowest fares), and fighting with Customer Service reps at Wizz Air, to arrive at our 17/day trip to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. We secured all the hotel and travel reservations on our own. When we booked our tickets back in May, we had no clue there would be a mass migration of Syrian refugees heading to Western European borders via Budapest. Just last weekend, there were demonstrations in Budapest amounting to over 20,000 people. I think they know I am coming. So, put your seatbelts on, and get ready to share my adventures through Eastern Europe and the periphery of Asia!
